Here we’re going to show you how to use the Chrome omnibox to take a shortcut straight to the “Add Calendar Event” screen. Want Gmail access from your Windows 10 desktop? Here’s how to create your own Gmail app There are two things you can type into the Chrome omnibox that will take you to a new calendar event. They are:

cal.new meeting.new

Typing either of these then hitting Enter will take you straight to the “Add Calendar Event” screen. That’s not all. If you have more than one Google account associated with your browser, you can create new calendar entries for that user instead. Just type cal.new/2 or meeting.new/2 with the number after the slash corresponding to the user on Chrome (just look at which position a given Google account is in the list when you click your account icon at the top right corner of your browser, and that’ll be its number).

And that’s it! You now know how to add calendar entries in Google that little bit faster thanks to the all-powerful Omnibox.
