Spotify has various ways you can share your favorite songs or playlists with your friends, whether or not they use Spotify. The options may not be in an easy-to-see area, but they’re there. You can even share a song that begins to play at the time you specify. That way your friends only hear the part you want them to hear.
How to Share a Playlist on Spotify
After you launch Spotify you’ll see different sections on your left. After “Your Library” you should see all your Playlists. Click on the one you want to share.
If you’re at the beginning of the playlist, the three horizontal dots (that have the Share option) will be to the right of the Pause button. If you’re anywhere other than the beginning of the playlist, the dots will be at the top-right of your display.
Click on the dots, and the Share button will be the last one on the list. Place the cursor over it, and a new menu will appear automatically. To share only one song, click on the horizontal dots in the same row as the song and choose where you want to share the song. For example, even if you have WhatsApp Web open, you won’t see WhatsApp as a sharing option, but\ since you may have it on your phone, it will appear in the mobile sharing options.
If you’re sharing a song on your smartphone, you’ll also have the option to share via SMS. If you want more options, click on “More,” and Spotify will show you all the apps you’ll be able to share your music with. In the share option you can share your Spotify music either on social media or by copying and pasting the link.
How to Share a Specific Part of a Song on Spotify
Let’s say there’s a song whose beginning is not that great, but after the fifteen seconds, it gets better. To show your friend that the song is not a complete failure, you can share the song from that point on.
You can do this by right-clicking on the song you want to share and moving the cursor to the share option. When the window appears, click on “Copy Spotify URL.” It will be the last one on the list. The URL will take your friend to the exact second of the song you copied the link. If you want to share a song with a friend who you know has a Spotify account, look for their account with the following code: “Spotify:user:friendsSpotifyUsername.” Obviously, replace the last part with your friends Spotify username, and you should be able to locate their account.

Spotify makes sharing your favorite easy and gives you various sources you can use. You just have to decide how and where you want to share your music. How often do you share your music? Let us know in the comments below.
