When you first open the box, you’ll find the charger, power cord (4.92-feet), user manual and warranty card. Since this is a simple plug-and-play device, all you need to do is connect the two-prong power cord to the charger, then plug it into an outlet. There is a tiny green indicator light at the top (or the side – depending on how you’re holding it) of the USB ports which illuminates to let you know the charger is indeed turned on and working properly. It can be hard to locate (I didn’t notice it at first), but it is there.
Using the iClever 6-Port Charger
Using the charger is just as easy. All you have to do is find a nice spot for it, plug it in and connect your USB devices. Whether you have a smartphone, tablet, MP3 player, camera, Bluetooth Speaker or anything else that uses a USB cord, you’ll have plenty of ports to go around. What’s nice about the charger is that it can stand up or sit on its side – whichever you prefer. The outside of the charger has a soft rubberized finish that feels really nice but also attracts dust like a magnet. However, it can be easily wiped with a soft cloth or damp paper towel. Lastly, the charger is made with fireproof materials and includes a full array of internal protection mechanisms (over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature protection). Thanks to this, you shouldn’t have any issues with it overheating. During my short time with it, the charger never even warmed up; it remained cool to the touch the entire time while charging.
Final Thoughts
The iClever 6-Port charger is pretty durable and powerful; it’s great for the entire family – or just yourself if you prefer. I was able to charge a Samsung tablet and Moto G phone at the same time without issue. I did not notice any decline in charging speed, so you don’t have to worry about sacrificing efficiency for convenience. Since it’s extremely portable, it would be great for freelancers, professionals and even students. You can simply throw it into your laptop bag, backpack or purse for safe keeping; it won’t take up much space at all.
