This mini portable Bluetooth speaker delivers crystal clear sound and has a built-in microphone for taking calls. It’s also very small in size so it won’t take up much space on your desk or wherever you choose to place it. Want to learn more about this impressive and stylish speaker? Here’s a closer look.

What’s Inside the Box

The iClever mini portable Bluetooth speaker comes in a small box yet includes five items. Those things are:

What’s on the Speaker

The iClever mini portable Bluetooth speaker may be small in size, but it has quite a few buttons and ports all around it. The on/off switch is actually on the bottom of the speaker along with the previous, next, and play/pause buttons. The previous and next buttons also work as volume up/down buttons; you can short press them to go to the previous or next song and long press them to turn the volume up and down. Unlike some Bluetooth speakers that are too sensitive and often change the song when you’re trying to turn the volume up or down, these have the perfect amount of sensitivity. Not once did I accidentally interrupt the current song when changing the volume levels. On the front side of the speaker you’ll find the microphone and a single button (with Bluetooth and phone icons on it) that does three things: disconnects the Bluetooth (by pressing and holding for three seconds), answers calls (by pressing for one second), and rejects calls (by long-pressing for there seconds). The Bluetooth/phone button also has an LED indicator that lets you know a few things. The LED will flash blue when in pairing mode. When you turn it on it immediately goes into pairing mode. The LED remains lit when connected to a device and flashes red when the battery is low and needs recharging, which is extremely convenient since many Bluetooth speakers don’t alert you when the battery is low. On the back side of the speaker you’ll find a micro-USB port and AUX-in port. It’s important to note that in AUX-in mode all of the keys on the speaker are invalid (don’t work). So it’s not the speaker that’s broken, the keys are just disabled.

Using the Speaker

The speaker needs to be connected via Bluetooth and will display under Bluetooth devices as “IC-BTS02.” You shouldn’t need to enter a password to connect, but just in case the password is “0000.” The speaker is active immediately after pairing. To get the maximum volume level be sure to turn up the volume all the way on your devicw so that you can control the volume levels right from the speaker. I found the volume to be extremely loud for such a small speaker. It’s impressive. The bass doesn’t hit as hard as other speakers I’ve tried, and it isn’t evident when sitting on a flat surface since it doesn’t rumble or shake the surface, but you can hear the bass in the music. This speaker offers eight to twelve hours of play time on one charge, so you can literally listen to it all day while working (if you work a typical eight- or nine-hour shift). The speaker also conserves energy by automatically going to sleep when idle for fifteen minutes. Whenever you want to use the speaker again it will automatically connect to the last device that it was paired with. If you only use it with one device, then it will connect almost instantly.

Final Thoughts

Plus, you really can’t deny the convenience of its small size. It’s extremely portable and can be easily thrown into your purse, backpack, laptop bag or even just carried in your hand. It would make a great gift.
