The obvious next question is where do we go for our help. While our experts are very knowledgeable on all technology topics, there are types when we, too, are in need of some help. We posed this question to our writers, also known as our experts.

Our Opinion

Every one of our writers resorts to searching Google for technology help at some point, either first and foremost or as a last resort. It’s always my personal go-to. The last time I was using iCloud Drive and was wondering if there was a way to add photos into it on iOS and found out there’s not. When I google, I find how-to articles as well as instances where other people have asked the same question. Google is also the go-to for Mahesh and Christopher. The former says that doing so “brings forth all the resourceful pages and always satisfies my answers.” Christopher likes to check multiple responses, feeling that “it’s always good to find a wide variety of solutions.” Derrik will do the occasional Google search, but only after he has already checked forums, Reddit, and IRC. Ayo usually checks out Stackexchange “for issues relating to programming” and looks up Google for the rest. Damien and Charnita have the right idea that we hope the rest of you have as well. They always check here through our articles on Make Tech Easier first, and if they can’t find the answer here, then their next step is Google.
